Tom’s Cabin is a bungalow located in a quaint and quiet residential cul-de-sac near to the top of Staithes bank. It provides an excellent retreat to explore Staithes itself but also the surrounding scenery and beyond. The property sleeps 4 guests and is no smoking and no pets. Self catering. It is a family owned property which has been in the family for generations.
Staithes is a traditional fishing village famed by Captain James Cook having spent some time there working in 1745 before his career as an explorer.
The village still has many local people living there with also numerous holidaymakers visiting from all corners of the UK all year round. It still has a small community of fishermen operating from the harbour in small fishing boats. It has narrow winding streets leading to various points of natural beauty viewing.
There is excellent walking access to outdoor activities and local amenities with access to nearby Whitby and the North Yorkshire Moors a short car ride. Local recommendations for activities, restaurants, pubs, beauty spots to visit, etc are available upon request.
The property has isolated heating and hot water so both are operated separately. The property is also decorated in a fashion to make for a welcome feeling for guests. There is a secluded outdoor entertaining and eating area which acts as a great sun-trap in the afternoon. A guest access garage outbuilding is also present for guests’ use and security for items such as pedal cycles or motorbikes.
There is ample parking for the property; both public on street and private via driveway. There is also WiFi provided free of charge.
